Very intrigued by this trailer for Blackfish, a new documentary about Tilikum, a performing whale at SeaWorld that swallowed its trainer whole.
“Directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite, the film attempts to uncover what caused the incident, exposing never before seen footage and interviews from the scandalous but widely hushed up case. We also see the true nature of the corrupt and profitable sea-park industry, including the disillusionment of workers who have had their safety jeopardised and the extraordinarily cruel treatment of orcas in captivity.”
The film is scheduled to be released in the UK in July.

PSA: Nobody cares, or should care, what you don’t like.
Imagine someone who, having just seen an advertisement for a great deal on pizza, calls the pizza place to inform it that they have never really cared for pizza, then calmly hangs up the phone.
Imagine someone stepping into a library, proudly announcing “I DON’T READ” and just standing there, awaiting response.
Imagine someone walking their dog when a gentleman rushes up to them, stops, informs them they have never and would never own a dog, and walks away.
Imagine you’re talking with a friend in public about what kind of cake you would like for your birthday, and a stranger interrupts you to say they find cake disgusting and would only accept pie.
Now imagine all of these weird assholes getting defensive and angry when their “opinions” aren’t “respected” enough or their “input” isn’t as “valued” as anyone else’s.
“But THAT GUY” as pie-man points a finger towards your friend, “said that he loves cake!”
His eyes fill with confused tears.
“I’m just expressing my opinion!” He stammers. “I have the same right!”
If you would be embarrassed to act this way in person you should be embarrassed to act this way on the internet.

Yet one more reason to PICK UP YOUR DAMNED TRASH, secure it so wildlife can’t get to it, DON’T FEED THE FUCKING WILDLIFE so they don’t learn to associate humans with food, and be a decent human being like this one.
SERIOUSLY. >=/ I don’t hesitate to be “that person” and remind people to pick up their trash. I’m sick of seeing wildlife suffer from our laziness.
